How do I know which wick accessory I need for my specific candle project?

Great question! The right candle wick accessory depends on the candles you're making. For jars or tins, wick stickers and holders help keep the wick perfectly centered and secured. If you're making large pillars or multi-wick candles, centering tools make it easy to space multiple wicks evenly. For consistent burning and less soot, wick trimmers are a must—they help you maintain the right wick length. If you like to personalize your process, look for adjustable holders or reusable tools. Feel free to check each product description for tips on matching accessories to candle types!

What are wick stickers, and why should I use them?

Wick stickers are double-sided adhesives designed to keep your candle wick base stuck firmly to the bottom of your container or mold. They’re super easy to use: just stick one side to the wick sustainer and the other to your vessel, then press down. This prevents the wick from shifting as you pour wax, making your candles safer and more professional-looking. Using wick stickers means less mess and a more reliable, even burn every time.

What's the best way to trim candle wicks and why does it matter?

Trimming your wick to about 1/4 inch before each burn is key to a cleaner, safer candle. A wick trimmer is specially designed to get the right angle and reach—even in deep jar candles—so you can easily snip off the used tip and catch any trimmings. This helps prevent smoke, soot, and uneven burning, so your candle lasts longer and smells better. Make it a habit to trim wicks before lighting for the best flame and performance!

Are the candle wick centering tools and holders reusable, and how do I clean them?

Yes, most wick centering tools and holders from our collection are made to be reusable! After you pour your candles and the wax has set, just wipe off any leftover wax or residue with a soft cloth or a little warm, soapy water if needed. Make sure the tools are dry before storing. Regular cleaning keeps your equipment in top shape and ready for your next candle-making session.

Do I need different accessories if I'm making a high volume of candles or extra-large ones?

If you're making a lot of candles at once or working with bigger formats, look for centering tools designed for multiple wicks and adhesive stickers in bulk packs—they’ll save you time and effort. For larger or custom candles, adjustable holders ensure your wicks stay centered, no matter the size. Consider putting together a maintenance kit with trimmers and dippers to keep your workspace tidy and the candles performing at their best. If you're ever unsure, our product descriptions include tips and suggestions for batch makers and large-format projects.

Always Trim to ¼ Inch
A precise cut yields a steady, soot-free flame every time.
Snuff with a Wick Dipper
Submerge the ember into the wax pool to eliminate smoke and odor.
Clean Reusable Tools
Wipe or wash holders and dippers after each use to prevent wax buildup.
