What types of catios do you offer, and how do I choose the right one for my space?

We offer a variety of catio styles, including window or balcony enclosures, freestanding walk-in catio rooms, tunnel and run systems, roof-top decks, and modular DIY panels. To choose the right one, consider your available space (apartment, yard, balcony), your cat’s personality and how many cats you have. For small spaces, window or balcony enclosures work best. If you have a yard or multiple cats, a freestanding catio or tunnel system is ideal. Modular panels offer flexibility to expand over time.

Are the catios easy to assemble? Do I need any special tools or experience?

Most of our catios are designed for easy assembly with basic household tools and come with clear, step-by-step instructions. Modular and DIY panel systems are especially user-friendly, and many customers have successfully set them up without prior experience. For more complex walk-in catio rooms, a helping hand or a local handyman can be useful, but no specialized skills are required.

Will a catio really keep my cat safe from predators and escaping?

Yes! All our catios are built with sturdy wire mesh and secure fastenings to keep your cat safely inside and prevent access from predators like foxes, raccoons, or birds of prey. The enclosures are also designed to eliminate gaps or weak points, so curious cats can’t slip out or get stuck. Choosing the correct size and installing according to instructions ensures the highest level of safety for your pet.

How can a catio help my indoor cat’s health and behavior?

Catios provide essential mental and physical enrichment by offering climbing perches, scratching posts, and views of nature. Access to fresh air and sunlight helps reduce stress, curb boredom-related behaviors (like scratching furniture or overgrooming), and can lead to improved sleep and a happier, healthier cat overall. Catios promote natural exploration and exercise while keeping your cat secure.

Are catios suitable for all weather conditions, and how do I keep them clean?

Our catios are constructed with weather-resistant materials designed to withstand sun, rain, and snow. For very harsh climates, consider adding optional weatherproof covers or placing the catio under partial shelter. Cleaning is easy—just sweep or hose down the floor and wipe down surfaces regularly to keep things sanitary. Many designs include removable trays or panels for convenient maintenance.

Catios | Outdoor Cat Enclosure

Catios—short for “cat patios”—are enclosed outdoor spaces designed to let indoor cats safely enjoy fresh air, sunshine, and natural stimulation. These secure structures protect pets from traffic, predators, and disease while reducing their impact on local wildlife, especially birds and small mammals.

Perfect for urban balconies, suburban backyards, or rural gardens, catios come in all shapes and sizes—from compact window boxes to multi-level playgrounds with tunnels and perches. Whether DIY-built or professionally installed, they offer a blend of enrichment and safety that supports feline health, reduces stress, and extends lifespan.
