- Leather Preparer Deglazer - Cleaner and Stripper for Leather Articles: Most leather articles have a silicone finish applied at the factory which may cause paints to not adhere onto leather, so be sure to remove the factory finish first with our deglazer before applying the paint! It can be used to deglaze factory finishes from shoes, purses, holsters, saddles, etc. Leather Preparer and Deglazer will tend to strip color from leather articles only and is not recommended for some plastics.
