Details: The Chiptoolz DOT makes stud finding easy - for everyone, no technical background required. In just three simple steps, anyone can find a stud on any wall type, just scan & listen. The DOT takes the accuracy of magnetic stud finders and enhances it by getting rid of having to "feel" the magnetic pull to locate studs. Instead, the DOT lets the magnet do the work for you. When you pass over a metal fastener, you'll hear the DOT "snap" indicating that you're over a metal fastener in the wall. This allows it to have scanning depth much deeper than traditional magnetic stud finders, up to 1", which allows it to function perfectly on plaster walls where fasteners are usually too deep for magnets.
