The Black Brant family of rockets was made in Canada in the late '50s, and the Estes 7243 Black Brant II rocket is a 1:13 scale replica of one of the earliest in the group. Loaded with scale details, this high-flying rocket stands nearly 25" tall. This rocket-building kit includes the reusable parts for launch, including a nose cone, a body tube, a recovery parachute, and design components.
Perfect for families, friends, hobbyists, or aspiring rocketeers, the 7243 Black Brant II rocket launch kit offers hands-on experience in engineering and aerospace. After an estimated assembly time of 4+ hours (not including glue- and paint-drying time), this rocket will be ready for proud display or launch prep.
To build and launch this rocket, you will need scissors, a pencil, a ruler, fine sandpaper, carpenter’s glue, plastic cement, a hobby knife, masking tape, primer (white), paint (black and white). an Estes Porta-Pad E Launch Pad, an Estes E Launch Controller, an Estes 3/16-inch “Maxi” Launch Rod, compatible Estes model-rocket engines, Starters, Recovery Wadding, and any extra materials listed in the directions (sold separately).
