Details: This listing is for 40 teak wood blanks that are 3/4 inches wide x 3/4 inches thick x 5 inches long.

These are 100% heartwood and have been kiln dried. They will make great dowels, handles, support blocks, etc. These solid teak turning squares are sustainably harvested from our environmentally friendly reforestation projects in democratic Costa Rica. These 40 turning squares are made from true teak wood with the scientific name tectona grandis. Teak wood is very durable and has natural oils and silica that enable it to be used outdoors. Metal hardware in contact with teak does not rust because the oil in the teak protects this hardware, and teak is the only wood in the world that can get wet and dry repeatedly without rotting.
These blanks measure 3/4 x 3/4 x 5 inches long and are made from 100% heartwood. They are very finely milled and accurate in size.
Teak is one of the most famous and well known woods in the world, so pens made from these should sell really well.
We have low temperature dehumidifaction kilns so the wood dries slowly and will not have stresses, checking, and problems associated with high temperature kiln drying.
