G0709 14 inch X 40 inch Gunsmithing Lathe
Another great addition to our line of spectacular Grizzly lathes is this 14 inch x 40 inch workhorse. Supplied with an 8-speed gearhead, it also comes with a 2 HP motor, D1-5 spindle with a generous 1-9/16 inch bore, a 200 series quick change tool post with 2 holders, flood coolant system, halogen work light, pull-out chip tray and inch break — great for safety! Plus, the tailstock has a socket for a torque wrench mounted on the front side and the outboard end of the spindle has a spider mount system — great for stabilizing long shafting and rifle barrels. Hardened and ground cast iron bed and cast aluminum gear cover. Removable gap bed allows turnings up to 19-3/4 inch in diameter.
Headstock
Fully enclosed headstock features precision hardened and ground gears, D1-5 spindle with 1-9/16 inch bore, centralized controls and universal gearbox, no change gears required.
Tailstock
Tailstock with V-slide and 1/2 inch square drive socket for precise alignment of centers with a torque wrench (handle included).
