Details: The Hurricane Mid-Size Carbide Tipped Curved Hollower is an economical, tough and reliable option when it comes to carbide hollowing tools for woodturning. This set comes with everything you need to get started, including the tool handle, screw, and a durable carbide insert (round). No need for an expensive grinder, CBN wheel or other sharpening accessories; just open the box and start turning! Once an edge starts to dull, simply loosen the screw and rotate to a fresh edge.
Each tool features an ergonomically designed solid beech handle with a 3/8 inch chrome-plated steel barstock providing both durability and comfort. Ideal for a wide range of materials, including wood, acrylic and resin, Hurricane Mid-Size Carbide Hollowing Tools feature a #4-40 screw, making them comparable to many other major brands. In fact, you can use virtually any carbide cutter replacement so long as it accepts a #4-40 screw, is 9mm (round) and 1.85mm thick.
