Details: Using a Jigboard on which to make your jigsaw puzzles allows you to constantly keep your puzzles tidy and to easily move them from one place to another. There is a raised edge around the board so that pieces do not get knocked off and lost.

This is the largest Jigboard in the Jigthings range and it will accommodate most puzzles up to 2,000 pieces - sizes up to 40.2 inches x 28.2 inches. Please note that this is a very large board and if you plan to move it from one room to another you will probably have to tilt the entire board to get it through doorways.

Soft fabric (much like the baize on a pool table) covers all surfaces so that there is never any danger of the board scratching a table that it is rested upon. At the same time, the work surface is solid and a joy to work with.

The fact that the board is solid means that it can be supported on the smallest of tables and this makes it possible to do a jigsaw much larger than the table itself.

Each board comes complete with a Jigmat that combines together two different materials. One side is the same soft fabric material that covers the board whilst the other side is waterproof plastic. Ordinarily, the Jigmat (plastic side up) completely covers the jigsaw when it is not being worked-on and thus protects the jigsaw puzzle from dust, spillages and the unwanted attention of pets! However, some people prefer to use the Jigmat (flock side up) to store additional loose pieces.

Jigboards are also ideal for playing cards and other table games - the raised edge ensures that dice etc. do not fall off the edge of the table.
