• COLOR NOTES: OILED is darker, always medium brown with possible red or golden undertones, and varies by location, use, and exposure. UNFINISHED is lighter, showing the natural wood color after cleaning. It can be oiled, stained, sealed, or left as is.

Details: A solid reclaimed barn wood 3x10 fireplace mantel shelf, bracket mounts and hardware are all included. The back of each piece will be routed to help hide the brackets, but pieces are NOT pre-drilled for the corresponding hardware, unless the upgraded bracket is purchased. Holes will need to be drilled into the back of the product in accordance with the bracket location on the wall. This requires a 1/2" drill bit.
Finishing the wood can change the color dramatically. For example, yellow pine tends to end up more reddish and white pine can look brownish but that's not always the case. Other factors that impact appearance are the age of the piece, the environment in which it spent its life, and the overall condition.
