The oversize shanks offer excellent support while projected well past the tool rest edge, as required in deep hollowing work. The extra long handles allow you to leverage the most balanced support required for such demanding work. The straight bar is used first to remove the bulk of the material, while the two curved necks allow for undercutting of the lip often featured in this type of work.

Each possessing standard cutter woodturning inserts, there are three types of tools: straight bar, shallow swan neck and deep swan neck. The straight bar removes the material from the center of the vessel, total length 24" The shallow swan neck allows you to start the curved part of the hollowed form total length 22-7/16" The deep swan neck allows you to get up to the inside lip of the work, total length 22-9/16"
