However, if you need to stick a temporary magnetic sign to your car, for example as a taxi might or in a sales showroom you will not be able to if the car body panels are made of Aluminium. Adhesives / glues may damage the paintwork or leave unsightly marks and suction cups just won't work either as too much air will get underneath the sign. We have the solution: Gripper Mats by Proper Design. Keep your existing signs and use Gripper Mats to hold them securely in place. Our wonderfully versatile product can stick to virtually anything smooth, clean and dry and they never run out of stickiness. After each use, just give them a quick wash under water and allow them to air dry. Simply put a few Gripper Mats on the back of the non-permanent magnetic sign and then press firmly onto the car body panel. We recommend covering 50% of the back of the sign in Gripper Mats. They can be cut to any shape using a pair of scissors if necessary. They should be placed towards the outside edge of the sign and all the way around. When you want to remove the sign simply peel it away from the car slowly. The Gripper Mats will leave no marks and cause no damage whatsoever and can be stored in their packaging after a quick clean so they're ready for the next use. Gripper Mats are incredibly strong and have been tested in rain, freezing conditions and up to 70 MPH with outstanding results.
