Details: The classic material for pyrography is wood. The processing of soft wood especially for-beginners is preferable, but also hardwoods, leather or cork can be processed well. To achieve a really beautiful result, it-is recommended to work with soft, light woods that have a flat structure. Lime, birch, maple and poplar are ideal. With these woods, there are hardly any limits to creativity and the motifs come out perfectly. In this book you will find numerous templates to trace. An efficient way to transfer the drawing is the carbon or carbon paper (tracing paper) so you get detailed and fine lines. The application is very simple and easy: Put a sheet of tracing paper between your motif and wooden plate. Fix the whole thing against slipping with tape. Then draw all the lines and shades, so you transfer the motif on the painting surface. A tip for this, use a colored pen so you do not have to remember which lines you have already traced. Pyrography can decorate an infinite number of objects made of wood, cork or leather and turn them into unique works of art.
