Details: Help save the bees and grow your garden with the Rivajam Build Your Own Bee House This hand-made, specially designed bee house is made by Rivajam from sustainable pine. All of the pieces have been crafted to fit together easily to allow you to build your bee house with the supplied screws and Allen key. The perfect homeschooling project incorporating nature, sequencing and construction. Introduce your kids to simple woodworking and craft. The Build Your Own Bee House is for solitary bees like mason, orchard, leaf-cutter, aphid or carpenter bees - super pollinators. It must be positioned in full sun, facing south east or south, at least 3.3ft but no more than 6.5ft off the ground. There must be no trees or plants in the way of the entrances. The Build Your Own Bee House must be firmly fixed so that it does not move in the wind, so don’t hang it from a tree branch. It is designed to provide the perfect bee shelter. Mounting hooks have been provided on the back (fixings not included - please use the appropriate fixing for your mounting surface). The inside has space for you to add the 75 nesting tubes (included in the kit - enough to completely fill the bee house), allowing plenty of opportunity for bees to nest and lay their larvae. Different types of replacement nesting tubes designed to fit our bee houses are available. The set comes with 5 pre-drilled bee house panels, 1 Allen key, 8 screws, 2 pre-installed mounting hooks, 75 cardboard nesting tubes. Includes detailed build instructions, and is a perfect beekeeping starter kit. Age: 3+ please use under supervision. Designed in Australia, Made in China.
