For Delta 15" Planer, DC-380, 22-675, 22-780X5, 22-785, 22-790 Shearcut spiral cutterhead comes with carbide insert knives with 4 round edges. The carbide knives are seated along the helical grooves, at angle to the centerline of the of the cutterheads. The carbide knives slices or mills other than chops timber. There is no tear-out and chatter marks even on swirly, feature-grained timber. It improves performance and productivity, reduces noise level. The carbide knives holds edges up to 10 time longer than high speed steel knives. The individual 15mm solid tungsten cutters are precision seated into the cutter head so there is no set-up required to replace planer knives. Simply rotate them 4 times. This removes the need for removing normal high speed knives and utilizing external sharpening services, again saving your time and money. No woodworker actually enjoys setting planer knives or sanding off scallop marks on timber that the machines with traditional long HSS knives leave. 80 carbides along 5 spirals installed on the cutterheads. 15x15x2.5mm R150 round edge carbide knive for glassy surface on both soft wood and hardwood. Smaller chips make dust collection easier. Reduced noise level makes your work place pleasant. 8 to 10 time longer use than plain blade. Rotate to reveal one edge in seconds and reduce your down time.
