This high gloss, non-yellowing, scratch-resistant, clear liquid epoxy resin cures like glass to let you create uniquely beautiful works of art. ThickSet is a deep pour resin, with a longer working time that allows for deeper pours per layer than tabletop epoxies, so clear coating, molding, or embedding projects are easier to do on live edge slabs, epoxy river tables, bar tops, table tops, kitchen counters, bathroom countertops, kitchen islands, bistro tables, restaurant tables, epoxy jewelry casting, and many more art and craft projects.
It's so easy, anyone can get fantastic results! Just start with a clean, level surface or mold (coat the mold with a mold release agent). Measure a 1:1 ratio of resin and hardener and mix thoroughly. For spectacular effects, this clear casting resin can be tinted with mica powder, alcohol inks, and other colorants for original artwork and to add a personal touch to your projects. The UV-resistant formula maintains its clarity without yellowing to keep your work looking its best for years to come, even with exposure to sunlight.
The key things to keep in mind are the air temperature (between 65°F and 75°F) and pour depth for best results and to minimize the risk of yellowing, cracks, or shrinkage. For larger castings such as river tables and slabs, you can pour single layers 1/2" thick; for small molds (like jewelry and figurines), you can pour layers up to 2" thick. TotalBoat ThickSet liquid glass deep pour epoxy has low VOCs and low odor, but for your safety, wear disposable gloves and work in a well-ventilated area.
