Weighing in at only 74lbs., makes this unit easier for the woodworker maneuver around the home workshop. With a single feed speed feed of 26 fpm, it’s a great machine for regular every day small production type planing. As with our Wahuda jointers, our new 60100PC-WHD planer comes with a spiral style cutterhead with 4-sided carbide inserts already installed. We have made it much quicker and easier to access the cutterhead, for insert rotation or replacement, by adding star knobs to the dust port and dust chute screws that can be quickly removed without a tool. To keep the cost down for the home users, we’ve removed the 2-speed mechanism, pullout extensions, and preset depth stop, found on our 60200PC-WHD planer. Even without the pull out extensions, you can always add additional support, such as roller stands, for surfacing long stock. It too has the powerful 120 V 15 amp motor which equates to about 2.2 HP. The planer cutterhead assembly rides on a 4 screw post design which performs better at reducing snipe than other designs. It has a standard stock capacity of 13” W X 6” H with a 1/8” maximum depth of cut. (1/32” max depth of cut at 10” and above). As with our 60200PC-WHD model, we’ve added the upgraded redesigned dust port. The wood chips no longer have to make a 90 degree turn which occasionally caused blockage. The chips now eject straight out the back through a motor fan assisted 4” port and a 2 ½” adapter is include for those wanting to use a shop vac.
